Ye recently took to Instagram to announce that he and Drake will perform at the upcoming “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on December 9.
“God’s Plan,” Ye captioned his post that carried a poster for the event, referencing Drake’s 2018 hit, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, will be headlining the concert, while Drake has been listed as a special guest.
Ye and Drake, who were not on good terms for several years, buried the hatchet last week after reuniting during a Dave Chappelle comedy show and later hanging out at Drake’s mansion in Toronto. Ye subsequently shared a photo on social media of himself posing with Drake and Rap-A-Lot CEO J Prince.
J Prince had posted on Instagram last month that Ye and Drake were working to “free our brother Larry Hoover.” A few weeks later, a video, featuring Ye and Prince showed them seeking Drake’s assistance in getting convicted felon Hoover released from federal prison.
Hoover’s son, Larry Hoover Jr., recently confirmed on the “Murder Master Music Show” that West and Drake were planning a concert to help free his father.
